Bellyqueen’s Journey’s Along the Silk Road show featuring superstar, Aziza will be performed in Montreal where we will also teach a full weekend of workshops (Oct 29-30).
For thousands of years the Silk Road was the link between East and West, a trade route that allowed merchants from Asia, Europe and the Middle East to exchange ideas, goods and culture. Bellyqueen Dance Theater invites you to witness what may have been, through an exciting fantasy, rooted in history. Featuring dances of Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Central Asia, India and China, you will take a journey through time and space, and experience the Silk Road, re-envisioned with a modern twist.
Starring Bellyqueen (Kaeshi, Elisheva, Sandralis, Irina Akulenko) Princesses (Ayano Imai, Cherrelle, Laurel Moll, Bina Bora)
and Guest artists (Aziza, Mariyah, Shoko Tamai, Dorit Oitzinger).
